Day 6

I am starting to realize how much I say "um" and look up and to the right. It is weird to see yourself talk on video so much.

Today I got to talk about collaboration.  Check it out!

  1. Ask any teacher what they wish they had more of, and the answer will often be "time to collaborate with other teachers." While our personalities are different, and what works for one teacher may not work for another, we still have so much to teach each other; one idea can spur another, constantly leading us to innovative lesson designs. Since we don't have a lot of time to plan throughout the day, let alone collaborate, each of us discovers different ideas and techniques and by sharing those individual discoveries, we can help each other grow as educators and as people. Maybe it's time to completely restructure the school year in order to build in more collaboration time.

  2. I would love there to be a collaboration time built into the school week. With other educators in and out of our buildings. That is why I really like twitter. I get to collaborate with people around the world.
